SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of customers into ARPA funded upskilling training programs. The navigator role will maintain knowledge of and engage ARPA funded training partners and connect with and assist MassHire customers in navigating resources and identifying training opportunities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding regional strategies and training priorities for ARPA and CARES Act programming.
  • Develop expertise on training providers in region including key programs, prerequisites and training cycles.
  • Solicit feedback from training providers regarding ideal applicants from past referrals
  • Utilize data to recruit customers
  • Assess customer’s fit with training programs to ensure enrollment readiness
  • Meet with and assess needs of MassHire Customers including career aspirations and current skill level.
  • Work with customers to identify potential training programs.
  • Refer customers to support services before and after training enrollment,(mentorship,housing, childcare vouchers, etc.)
  • Provide customers post-placement support for CTI programs and other ARPA funded programs
  • Monthly technical assistance calls with regional leadership/CommCorp.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in Workforce Development
  • Prior experience working with training providers.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools for program placement
  • Ability to market and outreach to MassHire customers
  • Must be adept at utilizing technology to enhance operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel in state for meetings, conferences, trainings.
  • Requires acceptable results of CORI check according to Goodwill policy and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Position is located in a normal office environment. 

Incumbent will be required to travel to in-state for meetings, conferences, trainings.
